ABD'nin Atina Büyükelçisi Kimberly Guilfoyle, görevinin sona erdiğini açıkladı. Guilfoyle, X hesabından yaptığı paylaşımda, ABD'nin Atina büyükelçiliği görevini kendisine verdikleri için ABD Başkanı Donald Trump ve ABD Dışişleri Bakanı Marco Rubio'ya teşekkür etti. ABD Başkanı Trump, Guilfoyle'un istifasına ilişkin, "Kendisi orada iyi bir iş çıkarıyordu ama hakkında okuduklarım hoşuma gitmedi" diye konuştu. Guilfoyle'un oğluyla çok eskiden arkadaş olduğunu ancak bunun Guilfoyle'un "aileden biri" olduğu anlamına gelmediğini belirten ABD Başkanı, karşı karşıya kaldıkları durumdan mutlu olmadığını ve bu yüzden bu kararı aldıklarını dile getirdi.
